Question Prop size, where to start??

Hi all,
After having had my last boat smashed to pieces last year, I have bought myself an old Fletcher Arrowflyte 140 Bravo with a 60hp Mariner 675 outboard to get myself back on the water this summer.

I need to buy a prop for the outboard but not sure what size to buy for best performance/speed for the boat.

The outboard doesn't have a prop at the moment so cant even say it does (x mph) with (y size prop) so hoping some one here has the same or similar size boat and can recommend me a prop, because I don't have a clue where to start lol.

Boat specs as per old brochure -

Length - 4,32m (14'2")
Beam - 1.64m (5'4")
Weight - 230kg although is an old boat so will probably have some extra water weight.

Many thanks in advance
Dave

prop

Hi mate,
I used to have a 70 with a 17 pitch on it and it was a good all rounder, I'd start with that if I was you, you should get full revs with that. You also have to take into account the bullet size of your gearbox so the prop hub fits.
Somebody on here can probably guide you to a website that has all the statistics.
