removing magnets

is there a cunning trick for removing magnets from a flywheel.. i now have one with a stripped spline and one with two magnets missing

Dunno on a Merc but on an OMC they sometimes fall off! They are just glued on. I've reglued them using araldite and they stayed put.

yes theve fallen off and cracked . was going to put the one with the f8cked splines in the oven to soften the glue but think the heat will f8ck the magnets
