Rev limiter

Hi can you remove the rev limiters on a yam 200 and mariner 200 2stroke ? If so what's the performance going to be like on a ring 21.

About the same as it was before you removed the limiter I'd imagine!

You're propping to where the powerband is, which is most likely not designed to be after the limiter. Then there's the issue of the engine not being balanced enough to take the extra revs.

All in all, I wouldn't even bother trying unless you want to also do the extra work to balance the motor and move the powerband up.

Higher

Low water pick up means you can run the engine higher on the transom,
