Ring 16C fuel tank

I have just purchased a ring 16C hull with a yamaha 115hp v4 outboard. I am seekng advice regarding installing a larger fuel tank.
The boat currently has a 5 gallon tank in it, but I'm wondering whether a larger fuel tank has been removed from it due to weight distribution problems since there is an unused filler cap on the stern of the boat. Any help that can be offered will be gratefully received.
Regards Julian

As a rough guess, i would say the unused filler cap is a big give away, Unless the Ring 16 is fitted with a sea toilet and the filler cap is for fresh water in the Heads compartment

Seriously though it would have had a bigger fuel tank. my old Ring 21 had a 20G tank

Maybe contact cyco or Dan here and get one made to suit your boat, failing that watch fee bay i've seen a few there, but i'd go for a st/st made for your boat though.

OR

Pash / Gazza / Den

Thank you for your comments.

Will contact both cyco and Dan and get a quote for fabricating a s/s tank.

You will need a bow fuel tank !! If you put it in the back it will be undriveable at speed !!

I used to race one with Yam 140 !! You could use one of our Bladder tanks !!

Good Luck

Bob
