what diameter anchor rope would be suitable for a ring 21 ?

That length should cover you for the north sea and most of the inshore waters of the English channel
(other than the solent between lymington & IOW & just SW of the needles, these are the 2 deepest places 250' approx, unless you wanna anchor in the SW approaches )

i need it for bridlington they wont launch you if you haven't got 150'
