just found this dude

3 hours idle
3 hours under 5,000 varied RPM
3 hours short wide open stabs
1 hour whatever but don't string it out.
After all this you have 10 hours of breakin and it's time to "Let it Eat".

right the guy who's building my engine says this

Rob ,
NEVER use any syn products in a motor before its through the breakin time. NOT even blends ! The introduction to ANY syn product to the newly rebuilt bore ring combo will hamper the breakin time. Run motor on the hose for 1 hour bliping it up to 5 to 6 K just to clear the assyembly oil and grease from its throat. Next load up and go to the lake / ocean and run 50 gals of 32:1 mix of QUICKSILVER and pump Super Unleaded motor gasoline varying the rpms and stop every once in a while letting the motor cool and starting back up and continuing. Once the 50 gals is burned retorque the head to 38lbs and add new plugs and run the syn @ 32:1 on a 8K plus motor and 40:1 on a 8K minus motor ! NEVER EVER double oil a motor during break in it will cause the motor to run hot and lean due to the thick viscosity of the fuel oil mix

Good luck............
