how do these things work???...is the helm unit like a mechanical hydro pump or are they electrical?..plus can you still feel the prop torque pulling through them or do they cancel out the pulling to one side when trimmed out

Hydraulic pump with some valves that mean you get no prop torque at all back through the wheel - same for all hydraulic steering.
