Sheared Prop Shaft!

Went out today with the 5 blade 26p new prop and apart from the fact that the engine wouldn't pull more than 3000 rpm the Prop Shaft Sheared right by the housing - didn't hit anything just accelerated and the revs went through the roof and Opps W.T.F where's me new prop????

Why would this happen and are prop shafts easy to change??

Thanks Mat for towing me in (No doubt the pictures will be posted here soon by Mat)

I spun a 30 pitch cleaver off like this broke the shaft, now have fat shafts but i now know the washer behind the prop sum times cracks and this results in breaking the drive shaft so i change them quiet a bit now

It's an easy job, but not diy. shaft is pricey though, but not as pricey as the prop you've just lost.

Steve H rebuilt the box for me and we got fat shafts from the states maybe worth asking steve to rebuild it or see if he has parts?
