thrust washer

i bought a yamaha drag prop with a merc hub pressed in fron the states, but my thrust washer wont fit, (its a normal stepped one that was used with a laser2), it sits on the 3 faces but doesnt recess into the prop and mate against the hub.

is there a merc washer that will work? failing that il just have one made, what would be the best metal? stainless or brass?
cheers

I've got some stainless copies of the standard Merc thrust washers (old part no. 75282) good for choppers, ET's, etc. It might get you started but it won't fit in those Yam recesses.
PM me if your interested.

You wouldnt happen to know what yam washer i need?
If not i might just get one custom made from stainless, but i can see that costing an arm an a leg over here!

If you need one made go and see Adie at A-Tec (next to Guernsey Garages)

He made me up a set of custom washers/spacers for the air suspension on my car, £20 for 4. They were only ali but he does stainless too no problem
