fm/tm

FM's and TM's all have the large diameter propshaft. Unless it's been painted, TM is silver and the FM is always black. Remember, all stock 3.0 gearcases made after 1999 had both water pickups also

Thanks for that only thing is the ad at diamond marine say that both the fm and the tm 3.0l come painted as in the pics ,so is the only real way to tell the size of the shaft? what are the sizes as i will have nothing to compare it to. New at this game(can you tell).

Any pics or link?

Most of the 2.5's are bolted to a Sportsmaster - Pointy nosecone..

the torquemaster does have a toquetab on the skeq - and metal piece to counter torquesteeering.
The Fleetmaster looks like a painted normal/standard gearcase.
