Trim Tabs on a cat???

It seems that the bow tanks on the Puma Cat dont work so I was thinking
Is it the "done thing" to put trim tabs on a cat?? or, is it more of a weight thing with the bow tanks to stop me wearing the cat as a hat if the right foot got too excited!

Thoughts please
