Twin DF140s on a Ring 21?

Alright I know its not going to be the fastest R21 in the known world but If I take my 06 Suzuki DF140s off my rib and drop them onto a R21 I will have reliability, economy, good cruising range and a sexy twin engine set up.

Does anyone know if the transom will take it (I think so) Suzuki website says weight of each engine is 186kg.

Also my twins are not counter rotating which simply isn't a problem on my big fat lazy rib, just means I can do mental starboard turns/crash stops

Would the lack of counter rotation be an issue on a R21?

Any advice gratefully received

I'm pretty sure Mike has done some twin honda/suzi installations on the "Ranger" boats. I think Ive seen some pics about of a 25 Ranger with twins, not so sure the 21 has. maybe worth PMing him

There have defo been a few 21s with twins but I believe they had beefed up transoms and may even have been built specifically to take twins.

So, I would suggest that if the hull in question has never had twins the transom may well need some beefing up.
