Volvo dps

Anyone know much about these drives
how strong are they
do thay take shock load well
prop selection can you get high speed props

will take upto 420 hp from volvo in std boat and prob 50kts
any more than that the old DPX drive is very good or the new DPR

Dps

What do you think this sort of drive would be like with props running surface piercing.
ive been given a dps . my e drive's git cracks on lower crown wheel so i now its gonna go bang its just a matter of time (dont you just love stern drive's)
i now the dpx or r would be better but my boat budget is 0 so the free dps seems like a good option .
p.s thanks to my local volvo delership for giving me there insurance salvage f.o.c ,bent skeg new drive
