water pick up

is it best to bolt the water pick up through the transom or are they normally screwed on? whats every body else got on their boats

if you mean for a bow tank it depends what type you have. mine is a seperate pickup and dump with the pick up just screwed on where as JBD has the salmon duel type which bolts through the hull. mine below

i,ve got the same type as that ,screws with some sealant it is.

the transom is nearly 50mm thick at that point so you can use some beefy stainless screws

This shows some of products that we manufacture, but is not big on technical details. I'll post some pics later today
We do three different types of water pick up, the one that is most popular with racers is the box section fabricated unit. It does the job and is the cheapest in our range.
The compact cast pick up is a different animal, it is precision machined and is O Ring sealed so it won't leak when your boats in the shed. I can let Jon have some WPU's and Control Boxes so that you guy's can check them out.
