How about a photo of 'behind your dash'? ...through the keyhole, so to speak!
Show us how it should be done!

If I was anywhere near my boat I would show you! I will take some piccie's when I strip her down for her refit this winter.
Than you will see how a bit of elbow grease and a lot of love are applyed to get perfect results!

What you need to do is disconnet all your gauges and start again with the gauge thats closest to your loom. takes you about 20 minutes or so!

Tricky,
A water pressure gauge performs 3 roles
1) To identify when you're jacking the motors up and starting to run out of water.
2) To identify any kind of blockage (weed) in the water pickups.
3) To identify a weak or failing impeller or other colling system malfunction.
2 & 3 will also be pinpointed by the temperature gauges you've already got (They do work?)
1 will become relevant if you start investigating lifting the motors up more - which I assume you haven't yet since there's other things higher on the priority list So, IMVHO, I wouldn't sweat the water pressure gauges for now - in that the boat has been fine for a number of years without them. Just keep an eye on the temp gauges.
However, I would leave them on the shopping list and add them if you find yourself doing another related job (like new tachos maybe, or if the engines are having some work done, etc) They are a very useful early warning system.
BUT, if you start running the motors higher, I would consider them a must have.
Just my humble opinion - obviously.
M

The temperature guage LHS engine ( port for you picky bastids ) is intemittent! It some times works and often does not. I would prolly work on that first.
I was thinking of the water pressure as a diagnostic tool, and not as a permanent fixture.

Depends how you look at things. You dont have to have a WPG but It can save you one hell of a repair bill. I'd always install one. Temp indicators are fine but they pick things up after the cooling has slowed. As you say your temp is intermittant. A WPG is dead simple & reliable. All IMHO

Well, I am going to finish cleaning the inside of the bladerunner starting next week. Then remove all the antifoul. The original props have been balanced and cleaned up, so they will be the best they can be.
Before I go testing I want to check the existing guages, especially the temp guage.
The final thing I want to fit is a trim guage for the motors, as right now it is guess and feel...
Any ideas on the trim guages?

Agree with all points both of you made.
Would definately fix the existing intermittent temp gauge though - easily could be just a loose wire or corroded connection.
And would install a WPG at an 'opportune' time - probably at the same time you do the trim indicators.
Trim gauges - electrical are notoriuosly inaccurate, but easy to fit and install.
Mechanical gauges - lotsa money, more work to install (And do a tidy job), but the dogs bollocks.
Also completely agree with removing antifouling - an absolute bastard of a job to do well and leave a gleaming shiny hull underneath, but I hate antifouling.
How are you planning on removing the antifouling?

I have a slave - called Laura. She is 20 years old, so can get into all those tight places where I can not reach under the trailer.
I was thinking of painting on antifoul remover, then pressurewashing it off. I did that on the Sunseeker, removing several years of antifoul. The last remaining bits you can sort out with a plastic scraper.
But if you have a different suggestion.....
