Think it's a 1990 200hp V6 3.0 liter, but I'm not sure.
I doubt Mercury made 3.0 liters that only produce 200hp. Are you sure the 3.0liter on the cowl is correct ???
The "O" at the beginning of your serial number is probably a leading zero, and should therefore be ignored.

ahhhh... than it's ok
First 2 sites in following link clearly show it's indeed a 1990 200hp V6.
http://forums.iboats.com/showthread.php?t=264123

Maybe someone can back me up on this.
Or just ask any Merc dealer, he should be able to tell you for sure within a heartbeat

Looks like a 135 to me, vertical front end. It's definately not a 200 with that layout heads etc.

It can easily be tuned up to a 150 by changing a couple of parts as it is the same block, ie carbs, exhaust plate and timing, hope this helps.

So I looked hard at that too Steve. I don't agree. I am going to stick my neck out and say very very early version 2.5 vertical front end 135 with the crap heads that made a very brief appearance. Hell the forum is so boring at the moment I'll put a tenner on it. I give it to you at records when you take Bob's record back!
