What prop is this?

I'm trying to identify what the prop that came with my boat is...

It's 14" diameter, has '23M' stamped in large numbers (so I'm assuming 23" pitch) and '2894' in small numbers on the hub.

Cheers!

edit: it's from a 200hp 2.5 carb V6 Mariner

looks like a standard merc prop, have you polished it loads?

It was in a state when I got it, so I cleaned it up with brick acid and went through a few grades of wet or dry, then gave it to Turk and he finished it up on his bench polisher.

It's stainless, but has no name or manufacturer logo anywhere. It looks to me like a Lazer copy

yeah please that'd be sweet!

I hope to get it down for an afternoon as soon as this wind pisses off and see how it goes. I'll let you know as soon as I know when that'll be, I'm nursing a busted rib from snowboarding too so bouncing around in a boat isn't a great idea just yet...

The general plan with my boat is to take it out for a run with what I have now, just to check the engine runs well under load, as so far we've only had it going in a tank with no prop on. It all seemed fine fingers crossed!

Once we know it's ok I can get it out, find and fit a 20" leg and then start messing with height and prop selection until we find the best set up.

How are you getting on with your offshore leg to 2.5?

Cheers for the help OCRDA
