XR2 again, please help

I have a litle problem
While stripping my XR2 I discovered that I need to put oversive rollerbearing between crankshaft and connecting rod. Unfortunetly there is no Mercury part like this. Can I use some aftermarket part??
I mean UIM rules are saying that engine has to be 100% stock. Will it be allowed if any examination of the engine??
I'm also making new piston and nicasil sleeves all in stock size.

What do you think about these aftermarket parts if they do not have mercury sign on it??

Cheers,
Mike

No, No, No, No, No..................

You are making new pistons and Nikasil liners ??? For an XR2 ???

Why would you suppose Mercury don't offer an oversize bearing

Would you consider that to be 100% stock

Stop right now. You are wasting your money.

I would suspect that there are plenty of XR2 cranks available second hand, Post some pictures of the crank I am interested in taking a look. I understand having a limited budget is difficult but if you are going to the expense of rebuilding I would advise that at least you try and make it reliable.

A few years ago I contacted a few companies with a view to metal spraying and grinding an outboard crank and all of them said they wouldn't guaratee it if it was to be used with roller bearings as opposed to conventional white metal shells.

Sorry for getting off the topic.
