XR2 Electric fuel pump

Hi guys,
My XR2 has one of those squigy ball things in the fuel ine to prime the engine prior to starting it. I think that I should be able to fit an electric priming pump.

What pump would I need? and would I need to modify the engine?

Fuel Pump

It depends if you have a mechanical fuel pump fitted on the engine already!

The fuel pump you need (electric) is a Holley red top which operates at 5psi.

If removing the mechanical fuel pump you will need to fit a blanking plate on the engine and remove the primer bowl.

Priming Bulb

The stock fuel line & pump works very well for most applications on the K.I.S.S. principle. Another electrical component in your motive power department is just what you don't want.

If you really must do away with your primer bulb leave the stock diaphragm pump in situ and install a Facet priming pump. That way, when the electric pump fails, the diaphragm pump will still "pull through" and get you home.
