Has anyone got a graph showing the power curve for a stock xr2 (or even a blue printed engines' one for 111c 2 ltr class)

I should imagine peak power is up around the 7000rpm mark

The powerband is between 6500-6800rpm on a stock motor. as with most engines it will rev higher past this and sound better but if it was on a dyno the graph/powercurve would fall of anything past 6900 really. (Unless tuned)

So I also have a rev question.

I have 1993 XR2 bone stock, as far as I now never rebuilded.
I don't know how many hours but compression is about 147 all 6 cyl
What is the max rev I can run not to broke it??
I'm finishing rebuilding my boat and hope to ride it in next two weeks
It will be very first time for me on that boat and engine and I don't want to broke something as I don't have any experience with high perf engines

I'v heard that mercury is saying the redline is 6500 rpm........

Thanks for help

Just use it as it won't matter if you rev to 700 or 7000rpm because it will go pop if it wants to

Fresh it up with ART pistons and we rev to 8000 rpm I'd like to see you get it past 7000 with any kind of decent sized prop on it.

Thanks for answers guys

Right now I'm finishing rebuiding the boat and will not have money to do anything with engine
I'm planning to refresh the engine next winter.
So now I will tread this engine calm
I will try not to broke it this summer

Where can I buy good parts for this engine?? Who can rebuild it properly??
I'm just asking if I had any problems in the future because here in Poland mechanics don't know anything about high perf engines. When I was talking with mercury dealer he said that he don't have any info on this engine cause they didn't sell those engines

So who can I trust??

One more thing
What is blue printing??
