young and inexperienced

i was wondeing if any one could advise
doing some freshening up of my boat for the comming season and decided to take both of my tanks out. one in the back looking very sorry for itself.
last year i only could run the back take and not the front, because of fuel starvation, but i belive this was down to the PLUMBING fittings that the previous owner had used.
when taking the rear tank out i had found that the previous owner had also used clear HOSEPIPE to run the fuel to the water speperator, wich had become stiff and kinked.
i posted a thread last year about when my foot was to the floor after about 20 seconds, i would suffer fuel starvation could the hsepipe have been causing lack of fuel???
has anyone got any ideas as to what i should do
my plans are to flush the front tank, take the line straight to the water seperator and not use the rear tank altogether,
soory for the lengthyness of this
cheers chris

Is your fuel tank flat on the base? Is fuel pickup pipe on bottom of tank ? I had to fit a slosh tank on my p18 because it kept drawing air.

Its a small tank that feeds the engine, basically the slosh tank has a separate fuel pump that fills the slosh tank from the main tank , the engine feeds off the slosh tank eliminating any air.

Sounds like you've been drawing air.
