I'm in the process of dragging my old Picton 14 out of hibernation. I found my way here while looking for some inspiration on the internet.
I only got the ol' Suzuki DT65 back to life yesterday after I rebuilt the fuel pump, stripped & cleaned the carbs and replaced some corroded hoses. I'm delighted to have it running again! The boat has been under wraps behind my house for the last 8-9 years and I only recently got the itch to get back on the water again. Once I replace the water pump impellor this evening, and change the gear oil, the engine should be fit for service. From that point on it'll be cosmetic touch-ups, then safety check and then to the water we go. I know it's a bit late in the season to be doing a first launch of the year but hey, what the heck.
