Looking for people that knew Fiona Gore / Lady Arran

Hello,

I am looking to get in touch with anyone who knew Fiona / Lady A....

In particular Roger Trigg or anyone else that was close to her.

This is for a project I am working on and I would be incredibly grateful for any help...

All the best..

Jon-paul

Hi Jon-Paul
A friend of mine bought her old Wellcraft Nova 25XL back in the early 80s.
Unfortunately, he is no longer with us.
She had just bought a new Revenger 25, which I believe she named after her two nieces
We raced her old boat for several years against her, in cruiser class, under the number P45.
I will try and dig out a photo of us racing her old boat.
Hope this helps
David.

Thank you for the reply, I would love to know what she was like to race with, her attitude to competition, her character?

I imagine those were exciting times

Sorry to bumb into the thread ( a newbie to boatmad ) but I have recently just purchased Lady Arran’s old boat hells angel ( lady M ) .

The grand plan is to restore her to the former not she once was with a view to getting her ready for the Cowes Torquay race .

I would like to if possible trace the history of the boat and the owners during her life . I do have some history and a bill of transfer around. 2006 but would be keen to know the history before that. If any one can help I d really appreciate it .

For anyone interested we have set a blog up to track her restoration progress on Facebook .

Many thanks
Dave
