New To Boatmad ,Project Bernico F3 Xtreme

I'm new to this kind of boat, but not new to the forum world..

I'm Dennis- I live in the Netherlands, and I just bought a Bernico F3 Xtreme but it needs some work, just some minor details! Just some polishing ,gelcoat repair and I need to build in a tank some interior details Boat is used fore ski racing i gues passenger seat is backwards so need to change that. In general a nice boat. I don't have a lot of experience with this kind of boat so we will see what the outcome is. Motor is still optional I have a 115pk 4stroke mercury 2006. But options are open.

Anyways, just wanted to introduce myself to everybody and look for other bernico fans and any tips or info is welcome.

Hi there, welcome to boatmad.

It seems you have bought the #60, which is the very first Bernico F3 Xtreme to my knowledge. So congrats ! that's a nice piece of equipment with potential you have there.

I didn't know this boat was for sale, so I'm a bit surprised to see it turn up here. But always nice to see a Bernico.

As it's a F3 it should get a 150hp, probably can take more, check with Nico at Bernico. I wouldn't underpower it. I remember it having a special cable steering set up (like those F1 catamaran boats), which seemed odd to me. I don't have any feedback on that, but I would go for a hydraulic setup.

Did buy the matching bunk trailer also ?

Good luck with it !
Kind regards, T. (Belgium)
