So you are saying there is a 'current' EPA cert for this engine? Not the one that was negotiated on the 2006 implementation allowing a certain volume of dirty motors to be built as offset for the fourstrokes being produced that exceeded regulated requirements?

Surely if there is a currently valid one then rolling over the Homologation would have been a simple matter?

Epa Certificate is on latest list 2007 - 2011
Although ORC were keen for the UIM to renew the Homologation it seems that this request may have been withdrawn.

Or the UIM delegate forgot to ask like the rest of the list.

I'm not sure of the details exactly Bob but my understanding was that the Swedes wanted to see the class 3 Non EPA dropped and the old homologation put it in the Non EPA category so it would fall out anyway?

Turn up with a 150 and get blown away by a 175 or 200 ! I know it's always been this way but why keep pretending ! We all know that a 150ho is same engine as 200 as is the XS so why not call the class V200 ?
I think your getting yourself a little confused Bob, the 150 pro xs and the 200 pro xs are entirely different motors, the 150 being a 2.5 litre motor, and the 200 is a 3 litre.

To the ill-imformed, they look quite similar though, both black with some snazzy graphics.

And the 150 etec is a different part number to the 200 2.6 for the block and front half.

there's obviously some parts that are shared.

Crankshaft is used in the 115Dfi, 140 jet, 135Dfi, V140, 150Dfi and the 200XS
Pistons are the same as the above motors, except for the 200XS
Blocks are the same as the above motors, except for the 200 XS
Heads are the same as the above motors, except for the 200XS

etc, etc,

Graphics are different though

No !! Only that it has all the same components probably with different map and decals !! Same Injectors, Crankshaft, Gearbox EMM, Tuner, Mid Section etc.

Just like the 115 ProV Yamaha is identical to the 130 / 140.

The 115Ho same as 130 and so on !

But that is EXACTLY what you have been insinuating all along. Like when at Allhallows and you could not help yourself by refering to the 150ho boats running as 175's rather than 150's or v6 etc... just constant digs.
