1st race Guernsey Worlds cancelled.

The first race of the world championships was cancelled today due to bad weather. Wind speeds of force 5 to 6, wave height of 3 to 4 metres off the south marker. Recovery of racers involved in incidents would have been all but impossible.

To make up for it we're all off karting tomorrow and keeping our fingers crossed for saturday. Should sat's racing be cancelled too, we're looking at running two short races on sunday with a 3 hour gap between.

Got some good photos and videos of the practice run on wednesday, i'll get them posted as soon as i can!

Locally, Kev Walsh has got his new backdraft (wet dream, now liquid illusion) and is ready for the racing...
John Guille has bought the lorne campbell pattern forme (C10)... after initial engine problems he has now swapped powerheads and is ready to run, although has had not practice in the boat at all!
