2005 draft calendar

Just seen the 2005 draft calendar.

First interesting item is Cowes race. It is down as Harmsworth only - no other classes! That will really boost their entry list, but should make printing the programmes easy.

At the same weekend UKOBA is down to run a full National race plus ProVee from either Cardiff or Glasgow.

So I'd imagine the vast majority of us have just done our final Cowes race.

Very sad.

The calendar came to me via the RYA (due to club roles) - but is very much a draft so is probably not on general issue as it will change in some details.

Don't know the reasoning behind Cowes but perhaps a call to the BPRC to find out?

Otherwise very few differences to this year, other than:
No BIBOA race in Scotland
Records week and enduro down for Lake Coniston

The reason for the UKOBA calender suggestion was to clarify the situation regarding other classes at Cowes. Seems to have worked and I believe that other classes will be invited!!Took another club to flush that one out.

Nice to feel really wanted by the organisers then! Problem maybe actually getting some people to go to Cowes after their treatment of just about any class other the Harmsworth competitors.
