2litre meeting

well we had the meeting and it was good to see so many crews turn up. it has been proposed to have the big lap taken out also it is being suggested to have 2litre production boats, ribs etc race with offshore boats to encourage new racers into what is becoming a dwindling sport. we have now got someone who is prepared to go and try to promote this sport.what we would like now is some feedback from all you racers.as i said these are proposals so we need some replys or opinions to back our meeting.

Just another point to suggest with regards to the class. Would it be worthwhile openig up the pits for say an hour to the general public so that they can come in have look around the boats and ask us questions and what have you ? By doing this we may encourage people into the sport and get them out racing with us. Only an idea guys, but i think it is something to consider!

I think that point boils down to the dreaded HSE and insurance. Trying to stop cmpettiors smoking in the pits is bad enough, what about joe public!! I agree more must be done to show the general public what we are about, but there are restrictions!!
