went out tonight in the dark and pulled 78MPH @6600RPM. Then out of curiosity did a leak off to find my star lower piston melted! Rebuilding now will be back testing sat/sun!
You gotta love the simplicity of an XR2
Seems a arking spark plug gave me a misfire and knocked out the piston..Bore is a-OK, Wonder what she will do when on 6cyl??

Motto is if i gotta change my race # as often as pistons in XR2 so what!!

Anyone got the following
Starboard +030 piston and rings?
Later 20" leg with homologation?
2:1 Gearbox?
Bloody ol smokers!
