A Big Thank You

Well Done Shirley for all your hard work organizing the ORDA Championship this year and for all those who attended the Torquay Finals, I'm sure I speak for all when i say how disappointed I am for not being able to watch the ski racers strut their stuff, but how smart they're boats were, and how respectable their members appeared on Sat night,We all have some living up to do now for next year a great example of how it should be done, well done lads!
just a final note anyone who has anything to offer racing for the future please come along to ORDA AGM in Jan where we need new joiners and appoint new Committee members its the only way to have a say.....
Thanks again, just a shame it took all season to get the boat level!!!

Pete Berrow,Jason(the greek waiter)Kidjell and myself all had a great time, the OCR race was action packed but I was really looking forward to seeing the ski racers do there stuff but who would of thought six foot sea's would have put them off I also think that having different types of racers at one venue is an excellent way forward, well done to everybody at ORDA as well.

Well done to ORDA and everyone!! I prefer going to racing events with other classes there is more for spectators and the boat numbers are greater, this may encourage sponsors.....?? Bring all the classes to one event, not have them all going doing there own events...

Well done and see you all at the AGM/Dinner and Dance.

Will

i drove for Scott, (Bad Boy 717 on here) with Cyco observing saturday afternoon as he couldn't race sunday due to other commitments. He fell 3 times on the first straight because of the rough conditions so you can see why we didn't run. It would have been very dangerous because it was very hard to spot a little orange helmet bobbing in the big sea and i knew where he had fallen, other boats coming round wouldn't have had a chance to see him and someone could have been seriously hurt.
I hope this joining up continues next year then you can all watch the dope's on ropes going at silly speeds

Yep. great weekend and it was nice seeing things from a competitors point of view instead of stuck out on a safety boat all day.

But I'm a little confused at how I ended up with a basic racers medal when I never moved out of the bar or the burger shop all weekend.

Was I embarassed at walking on the podium to receive it. Was I bollocks.

Praps we got it for talking a good race the night before

Great weekend, hope this will happen in 2007, we can really make an impact jointly, i know logistically its difficult but it must benefit us all, it would have been one spectacular event. I pesonally was pleased to see so many of the faces i normally help to the cranes in Ramsgate, and the genuine interest shown in our boats together with the power boaters willingness to discuss and show off their craft. A big thank you to "Very Tricky " for uncovering his V24 and inviting Jake to sit in the cockpit, i dont expect he realises how much that meant to him, but also showed how we all can, and should rub along together and put some great events together for 2007.
THANKS TO ALL WHO ARRANGED TORQUAY I AM GLAD I MADE THE JOURNEY.

BOAT 18 HOTSHOT (the Cyclone) although the Phantom still looks good Dan!
