I was told today that Chris Parsonage might be showing up for the Sunday basic with his boat.

That would be interesting.

Right, so Roger Severy, Martin Mainsbridge, etc, and anyone else reckoning they've got a stonking chance 'round the Island', haven't!

That'll be a nice sight/sound in the Solent!

I heard at the weekend, that after shipping it to Norway (where Steve Curtis ran 155mph in it doing some local record) he has now sold it

Haven't spoken with Tony in a while but I think you're right.

I had a conversation with Big John from Express a couple of weeks ago. He was in Norway for the record attempt. Steve was on the throttles with Tony at the wheel. Seems they couldn't get any racing fuel so the Nor-Tech's engines were only bumped up to about 1000 hp each.

According to John, the boat ran 157 and the record there is 159. Seems awfully fast to me in an open boat.

Ah ha thought i recognised the name, passed that boat on the motorway last wednesday on its way to plymouth.

saw his son roll over in a honda 225 class boat at plymouth last year. surprising that because i thought they were very stable
