Post another idea

How about putting together a program ,when the calendar is confirmed for next year, telling who is racing and what they are racing in.I have a list of potential sponsors that would be willing to advertise in such a program. And rather asking them for money to advertise, how about them donating something towards our ,suggested poker prize.

Just what I was thinking - we could do a program covering the whole season for the class. That way all competitiors would get good coverage an the class / powerboating would get some promotion. Programs would be good to give back to sponsors as well - certainly better than the Cowes ones!!!

Printing can be quite cheap these days (I use RCS) - so sure we could keep costs down and quality up. If we have advertisers as well even better.

If all crews were to put up say £200 for the season this would pay for programs, banners, flags, stickers whatever?

If we all use our contacts and initiative i dont think there will be a need for the crews to pay for anything

As we are trying to encourage new teams,i think asking for money before the season even begins is not on.we would be better off using our contacts and initiative to fund our promotion.

As far as I am aware it would be them and Mick Archer only then - Ian Blacker has turned his boat into a canopy 6 Litre and there won't be any ribs racing in F1 either!

To answer any rumours, the plan is to do the european and worlds only. if we can get the boat to conform.
