Guys

I rest my case negitive comments again from some!!!! Really guys if you spent as much time being nice the world would be a better place

You have to ask yourself we all know Gary has a Hotboat and is racing so why isnt his profile up there at least!!! Simple he is in line having his profile completed we await pictures from crews.

I really can not understand why people can be so negitive when they are not prepared to give people a chance to do things correctly. If you are so worried come and see us at Burryport where we will be having a great time helping people off the fence.

Have a good weekend guys

why all the secrecy regarding the amount of entries ?? how do you expect anyone to travel miles and miles to a venue to spectate when they have no idea from the race organization team as to how many boats will be racing????

where's the logic?

As I need race time in my boat I am interested in entering but need to know who else is going. If Brian is going are there any more 2ltr guys who are prepared to make the trip? I am not interested in trophies, I need some of my fellow competitors to enter so that I can see how we are fairing, if nobody else is going then I wont bother, its that simple. I know it might sound selfish but thats the way it is.

ian i am going to attend .I think we should all support this new venture and at least give it a chance and not be negative like a lot of people on this forum. Gary is going to support ORDA events so it would only fair to support his events. That is how i see the whole growing. Brian ,<chairman ORDA>

Just to make it clear, i am not being negative regarding the hotboats. I really do hope that it is a sucsess and Powerboat racing will become more of a frontline sport. BUT, i like many others cant understand why the organisers are withholding information about who is participating in the series, its rediculous! Time and time again several members on this forum (upon which they chose to promote hotboats) have asked the question how many entries, and time after time these people are snubbed! There are over a 1000 members on here to which they are advertising the hotboat series to, not just teams but potential spectators.

I dont think negativity is the problem. In fact I'd say pretty much everybody would love to see it be a great success.
What your getting is sceptisism from candid replies, that then fuels a rumor & hey ho off it go's in a spiral.

try to learn from feedback or not, choice is hotboats.

How many times has the question been asked "How many so far" & a non conclusive reply comes back it return "30% of all licence applications" means nothing stats can show anything. So people then conclude rightly or wrongly....
MMMMh I've only seen one hotboat and nobody else has come to the fore front so maybe there's only 1 running.....mmmmh not worth it. Try to look from the otherside of the fence.
Yet again I'd say I hope it works 100%

hotboats

give the man a chance, even if there was only two at least he is trying to get something going rather than just sitting back expecting someone else to do all the organising.

Just out of interest, isn't the minimum boat length 24 feet? How long is a B23, 23 feet?

good luck gary
if it were closer to home then the donzi would be out if only to see how quickly the fuel gauge goes down as the crane to launch it in portsmouth fell over yesterday so i will have to wait to try out dyno bobs engineering

Scott,
When I got home I mentioned to Mrs Beardy that I was thinking of entering this race and she consulted her social diary (and OK magazine) and it turns out that one of her mates daughter is getting married that weekend. I think it is most inconsiderate of people to get married on race weekends, that is three races I am now going to miss this year. Especially as a wedding is the same as a funeral, you just take your own flowers!! But as my goolies are still intact and in working order and I would like to keep it that way, I am now going to have to cry off and take "her who must be obeyed" to another poxy wedding. Apologies to Gary cos I was looking forward to a potter around at Buryport cos I have heard from several quarters that it is a great venue. Hope it all goes well.
