Don't think the 6ltr was Max Walkers as this one had been canopied and used for 6ltr racing in Dubai prior to being raced in Bournemouth bay, it also set an extremely quick time around the IOW about 2 years back averaging something like 85-88mph it had a rumoured top speed around 100-105mph enough to worry the cats

sorry guys i don't mean to jump the thread, just be really interested to hear what either boat is doing as the b28 is really why i am doing what i do.
batboat.com was originally wing and a prayer, won the 4 litre world championship in 1995 and was the boat sat in marinautic, the batboat.com website is still up and qoutes new '300 hp' engines so guessing it was re-rigged with 2.5 prior to splitting its keel.
the boat i believe cfun ref to is Brita with the f16 canopy and twin 2.5s, has a white hull with blue and yellow under the wings, which interestingly enough where cut down for easier towing. wasn't it run by ian blacker?

Ye you've hit the nail on the head, that's the one it all comes back now, so will it come out of hiding for next season???
Ahh missed that bit about Sidney's is it with an inboard,
Sidney I know a big V8 sounds nice but did someone say it now does just over 80mph along way short of the 100mph+ it did with the outboards so why the change of powerplant? if I may ask

having raced v24 for 2 years at speeds around 73mph and against max in his B28 and other boats that do 100mph in the bath or pits we were always just behind them so a true 82mph and running it with the v24 and other sports/unlimited boats makes this a great alround boat easy to work on and hopefuly reliable if i put enough fuel in!

The CR should be a good battle then, it would be great to see your B28 race against the Buzzi 600hp outboard rib that has taken part in the CR the last few years and a bladerunner rib or otherwise would be good for the mix as well
