Actually thats the first time the V-24s have beaten the 3C boats this year, so thats not entirely true.
CB1 / MB1 and Scottyboy and myself have beaten them twice.
(See Torquay and Teignmouth results).
Also I happened to be in the "Small single engined diesel rib" at the weekend and you're absolutely right. Reliability in RB will count for a lot, and Gordon's boat will go through anything.

Cookee. you'll love it.

I hope to - the PR company have invited me to the press launch this week, but when I asked if they could sort it out to jump on a few boats through the canal they said .............. "I'm not sure we can sort that out" ........ but it's ok I reckon I know enough people! Whether they will want me on their boats is another thing!

Would just like to say that only 50% of the V24 fleet were in front of us and then 5 seconds coverd 4 boats!!!! JS was playing with us and once he found out the right course, by following us, he was away very fast. Once we started running the shorter lap the extra torque of the v24's ate away at our lead. Still the 1st 2 boats to the turn were 3C, THANKS FOR THE £20 Cliff. Think we all had a very enjoyable day with some good racing. Thanks to all at the RMYC for organising it once again. PS. At least we did the correct ammount of laps lol.

Yes and they got in touch but forgot to tell me where and what time (still don't have a time) the press day is, and it seems they weren't aware that the race went through the Caledonian canal - he said Caledonian what?

This has just caught my eye. Didn't know James May was doing this. Is it the same James May as in Top Gear?

A friend of mine told me he is at the motorshow tomorrow in Canary Wharf and doing a book signing.
