If no one has any objections i would like to run with ballast of around 60Kg
it will be made of stuff and @ £300 i will run an old small inboard as i cannot get an outboard for my plan cheaply enough.
Are there to be any rules to how far a recorded bounce should be from each time the machine hits the water if travelling at high speed? Blinddog can you answer this!!
The only thing i can say mine will have full BM livery and will be built from scratch out of old stuff, hope to have first trial in the rougher water by Christmas.
If not succesful i will post the trails on u tube if successful nobody will see it till the challange.
Is there any restrictions on prop size, when you see the idea you will buckle up with laughter, if this stuffs it sinks big time.

Dont worry, what i'm building is no good in a sharp chop but very good on long swell up to about 5 ft high

Couple of questions...

1. Has location been confirmed ? (drivers to hamble was mentioned)

2. 50hp max does that have to be a std. outboard ?

Personally, I thing it should be a SOLO mission, no pont in killing two people at once...

I am up for something - but I really dont want to risk others. So who would object if we made the number of crew : Minimum 1, no maximum.

Cool charity race

i reckon hamble and back to level with hythe marina would be good, maybe optional on the amount of crew bigbird and myself are going to build ours so we would both be in it,horsepower wise is open to discusion but i think keep it smallish ?

I'm with Tricky, solo suits me.
Blinddog and BigBrird there has got to be the thick end of 40 stone in that boat, may have to give them a consession of an extra 40 hp.

If in the Solewnt it would have to be from Southampton VTS to hamble and return. Cant go upriver Southampton VTS without causing loads of trouble.
