Club/racing type sections?

Hi all,

As the GPA, I think it'd be great for us to have a GPA section here on Boatmad so we could keep everyone easily updated on the season, it'd also give everyone an area to discuss local happenings, races, poker runs and events etc.

This got me thinking, would anyone else find something like that useful for their club/ racing type? Maybe we could have a clubs area where each major club or racing type could have a section to keep everyone up to date, list events, post results, pics and videos? You could even post club rules, entry forms, membership docs etc at the top as a sticky. May also help the sport work together a bit more as everyone will be able to tell what the others are up to easily!

I know we've got the muster area which is all of these bundled into one, but it can be tricky to find what you're looking for and I regularly get told by newbies that their main struggle is finding information on the racing they want to do.

I guess this is mainly a question for Jon really as it's his forum, I just really think it could help the sport and would help further make Boatmad the hub for racing. Hell, even the RYA could have a bit to let us know what's going on....

Thoughts anyone?

James

Sorry, hadn't seen this.
Additional sections are easy to add, so no probs, though I wouldn't want loads of sections that rarely get any ink.

I'll add a GPA and an ORDA one as sub sections to the Muster Area and see how we get on.

If I made you a mod of the GPA one and someone level headed wants to be the same for ORDA we'll set that up.

I did suggest to our new ORC that there should be a licence holder section but it seems to have fallen on deaf ears !!
