Time is running out after these dates, look at today's weather!!!
Cool - You are good! Thanks for giving me a call / email / PM during the last event - Your help wasn't received.

Yellowbrick trackers

As I was a little too busy during the CTC race to watch the tracker, I'd never really got round to / bothered to look at the system. However, yesterday, I spoke with young (gay) Eric Smilie at Drivers Wharf and he informed me that the whole race was still viewable on the system and was well worth a look.
Well I couldn't see it, or any link to it on the BPRC site (where Eric told me to look), so I emailed Yellowbrick and asked the question. They sent me this link and I have to say, what a great system! really nice to be able to dissect the race, see how all the others did at the various stages etc including a log of current speed at any point/any boat in the race.....very telling.. So much info....I never knew there was so much in it.

Well worth a look if you haven't already....

I won't winge about the cost next time, well, well worth it.

Total cost of Trackers.

2010 - We included it in the price of the Event / Your Entry Fee - £2,937.50

2011 - £2,454.00, I built in a small discount per competitor.

James, the DVD's did not sell well for 2009 & 2010.

In both years a broadcast film was made, and was shown on the usual outlets, SKY Sports here in the UK for example.

For 2011, when the budget was very tight, Alisdair from Air Wolf Productions stepped in, Chris Davies high jacked his ride and we have got some great aerial footage.

But we paid separately for the tracker this year (125 quid) which is the bit I was referring to.
18 CTC entries x £125 = £2250, so just about covered?

Some great footage. Can you not here those great petrols engines over the noise in the chopper.

Could they put recording equipment into the boats set the time with a clock in the helicopter and once they have filmed splice the two together so that you only here the boat engines. Only a thought from someone who talks so much b-----ks

Thanks for posting - simply amazing footage!

Swipes, Microlink, Argentum and Cinzano all looked to be flying so well!! I have to say though, Argentum makes it look effortless. Hope to be able to see her run in more marathon next year.

We watched Cinzano and Ocean dragon finish and the noise as Cinzano gunned it towards the line was just amazing. Brought back so many memories of years gone by. Just a real shame the start was so far out. Would have been great to have had the sound on the video
