The P1 website still quotes £440 as the entry fee to 3C and V24 on the entry form.

This has been changed.
They have not yet updated the form or their website.
But this is the new entry fee.

Does it not matter that the entry deadline was the 10th?

I have the answer!!!!
Entries for the Round the Island race will be accepted on the day as long as you have presented to race control by 09.00 hrs Friday morning of the race.
Class 3c/V24 need to have entries in as soon as possible.
From an admin point of view the sooner we know who is entering the better, it will assist us with the paperwork.
Regards
Denise

I suspect - as in the past few races - that only Cliff Smith will be entering the V24 National event.
The other V24's are only doing the BASIC 'around the island' event on the Friday.
With the 2008 rules, this will change!

Hi,
I entered quite a while ago for the around the island race.
I even got a confirmation email from the organisers...
Quote:
Hi Marc,
I have received your entry fee and your entry form.
Thanks a lot for having entered the Round of the Island Race.
I am looking forward to seeing you in Cowes.
Have a nice day.
Kind Regards,

Hi Marc
Sorry for the misunderstanding, i know what you are doing at Cowes.
I was just asking if any of the other crews who hadn't entered yet could give me a little advanced warning of their intention to race as i can then get their paperwork organised NOTHING LIKE BEING ORGANISED.

As far as I know from the V24 Club, only Josh and I are entering the Cowes event, none of the other club member boats will be entering, and we will be entering the Round the Island only.

£137.50 to race round the island. you can race round the island for free when ever you want the only difference being you dont get someone else to press the stop watch for you. and dont give me that about safety cover cause there isnt any off st cats.
No wonder the sports in decline.

it's hardly the same driving round on your own,
and it pays towards far more than safety cover,
think about how much it costs jon to put on a poker run for everyone and there aren't safety boats there!
