Cowes/Monte-Carlo Race

As we have seen a few times before in RB08 and lately in Skagerakacross in Norway, it's not always the fastest boats that win these long distance Marathon races. This was proven with our own Gordon Compton coming 2nd OVERALL in the 144 mile Skagerakacross race.

Gordon is now looking for some support for next years Cowes to Monte-Carlo Race and is offering a crew place or places for either each leg or all the way. Obviously he will want whoever goes on board to help out financially but if you are interested you can sort that out with him.

The main point here is that by joining in with Gordon, as some did in the RB08, you will be taking part in not only the greatest powerboat race in the world in 2013 which will be watched by millions but also probably one of the greatest adventures you will ever have. Certainly you will have some amazing memories to look back on. You might not be able to race yourself but you will be able to join a team that will get there and enjoy all the fun along the way. If you want to discuss this with Gordon then this is his email:

Personally I think we should set up a Gordon CMC fund, Gordon is one of the great supporter/stalwarts of Marathon racing for the last 4 years! He ALWAYS takes part, he drives hard and usually always gets to the finish!

For your interest, Gordon has done this trip before. He was part of Chris Stricklands team which now holds the record for the fastest crossing from London to Monte-Carlo - he knows the way!
