Assuming I can actually lay my hands on a 502 that doesn't want to climb it's way out of the boat when it runs then I shall be running the Revenger.

Cowes Classic 2015 - Cowes Poole Cowes Race - Entry Update
There are now five paid up entries for the Cowes Classic 2015 - Cowes Poole Cowes Race.
The Unlimited Class already has 3 entries, Alan Goodwin and Tony Hamilton in Atlas Mr Noisy, Clive Baker will be racing Shadow Warrior again, having been in racing retirement for many years and Kerry Bobin will use his Revenger for the first time this season.
2015 UIM 3A World Championship runners up, Jack Bobin and Jamie White will be racing their Phantom19G in Club Class 3 and Guernsey man Paul Etasse will be driving a Phantom 19' in Club Class 2.
With further expressions of interest, it looks like this race will have at least 14 boats crossing the Royal Yacht Squadron line at 09:45 on the 6th September.
Entries will be continually updated here >> Cowes Poole Cowes Entrants — Cowes Classic 2015

And then there were six
Andy Hiscox*and Sean Homer from Guernsey have just entered their Club Class 2, Marshan 21'.
Hiscox and Homer paired up for the first time in the RYA Guernsey National race in June, racing a Marshan 16' - They did well and decided that the Cowes Poole Cowes Race would need a boat with a few more inches.

I have a 3a boat and it has a logbook with a race number with prefix letter A i want to race other 3a boats!
I will have to race on a event license.
the event license will enter me in club class (is this correct?)
so does this mean i have to change my number on my boat? will my log book be wrong? and will this mean i will be racing just myself?
why is everything so confusing!!!!!

i might be wrong but I think you would race alongside other 3a boats but not get national points on an event licence

3a
nopaddle - If you have a 3A boat and want to race in a national 3A class you will have to get a full licence.
However if you don't want to get a full licence - and you are eligible for an event licence – you can race in the Cowes-Poole-Cowes club race in Club Class 3.
Jack Bobin has entered his 2015 3A World Championship runners up boat in that class, it is anticipated that other 3A teams will also enter into Club Class 3 to make a race of it.

Which boat have you bought? You can't race National 3A without a national licence and measurement certificate (basically a slightly more detailed logbook). You can however race in Club 3 with the A Prefix if your boat is eligible for 3A, the precedent for that was set in Guernsey this year

Little point in running National if the others are running Club anyway. As far as I know the only 3a National entry is Kevin Edmundson and I am sure he wont mind running as club.

Paul
Our race number is C-51,we have entered in club class 2 like you,do you know if we can retain our original race number on the boat? Log book states C-51
The same numbers have been on her for over 20yrs and they are painted on ( I've recently refreshed them by hand) it would be nice if we could keep a 30yr old raceboat as original as possible but if not then hey ho .
