Ctc

Please can someone in the know let me know why the fleet for Ctc this year looks small, bearing in mind that there are several new boats (with experienced crew) in the field.

The number of registered/eligible boats as per the organising society is very substantial.

Hoping for loads of new entrants, as a fan and spectator !

I think its going to take a couple of years for the changes to take effect. What it needs are more of the lower class boats to get involved so that teams with limited funds can compete reasonably cheaply compared to the A & B classes. As it stands I think there is only 2 C class 1 D class and 1 E class. In times gone by the Cruiser A & B classes for example would bolster the numbers.
Fingers crossed it can attract more entrants as time goes by.
