Ivar Erik Tollefsen is a prominent Norwegian adventurer who has competed in the Dakar Rally and is a legend in his country for his mountain climbing exploits and polar expeditions.
He has led three big climbing expeditions to Antarctica and has achieved a number of first ascents of mountains there. He is the author of three books about these expeditions and is the current record holder for crossing the Greenland Ice Cap on skis.
