Dover 2007

The Dover Regatta 2007 will be on the weekend of the 11th & 12th of August.

Currently we're planning a joint event with OCRDA and hope to run 7 races a day within the outer harbour.

Racing, with comentry, from 10.30/11.00 each day.

Lots of other stuff to do there as well and a good chance to see the racing fairly close up too along the Prince of Wales Pier.

It's hope to have 10 from OCRDA and 12-13 from WORK racing over the weekend, will post more news as I get it.

Dover

What a shame that it clashes with the Estuary Classic & Class III racing that Allhallows Yacht Club are putting on. Would love to be at Dover, but cannot split myself in two.
Hope all goes well.

Thanks for that, hope the class III's return with good numbers they've taken a pounding this year and would be good to see them all there for that weekend.

Looks like about 14 from OCRDA lined up and 11 from WORK, so 25 race boats.

there could even be 2 new E9000s out there too, with a special being finished this week, talk about Just In Time........

A full weekend of races with up to 8 on the Sat and 6 on the Sun, lets hope the weather holds out

What a scorcher today was, wall to wall sunshine and flat sea which soon chopped up as the races went on.

7 races in one day, though a slow start all the championship races were done.
Estimated 20k spectators over the day as the regatta drew crouds from all over, hope to have the same tomorrow

Nice to see so many "Clean & Green" engines out there.

Ain't that what Honest minor was there for?
