Future of powerboat racing

could turbine engines be the future of powerboat racing especially in the bigger boats. These boats seem to have massive top speeds but sound wise i prefer the big petrol engines in the class 1 boats.

Class 1 powerboats racing past in the 2007 season, i prefer this sound compared to the turbine boats.

Miss Geico racing just testing the boat before they brought it, reached a top speed of 210mph.

Again its miss Geico racing, this time firing up the monster turbine engines, turn up the volume and listen.
