Great Memories

Eight years ago today, Forty-Seven powerboats and their crews set off from Portsmouth heading West on what is probably going to prove to be the last of the great long distance endurance races - the 2008 Round Britain Powerboat Race.

Mike, my family will never forget the race as it was a major waypoint in our lives. It is unlikely that anything like this will ever happen again unless someone wants to bankroll a race because they love racing so much, as it is near impossible to make money out of Powerboat Races as a business!

Perhaps we should have a reunion in the form of a get together and some of us can bring our boats?

Many thanks again Mike for sticking your neck on the block in 2008!

Thanks for the kind words Dorian, we will definitely be having a reunion on the 10th anniversary, so that's June 21st 2018 and it could possibly be as big as the final party in 2008!! Should be a lot of fun.
