There are still loads of the boats around from that era would be good to see them out there again.
I counted 14 rings, Phantoms etc in the marina the other day.
If we can keep the b######t out of it there is no reason we cant get that back, and put the fun back into racing.

yes remember them all. I was racing in them days raced from late 70s to late 90s.
At one time we had over 30 boats on start line and some awsome courses like Herm,Shell beach, North beach before they built the marina, and of course round the island.

Good stuff!

I'm dead keen to help with any organising!

Are the classes going to be quite open to allow as many people to enter as possible? Also, any info regards licenceses (cant spell that word )

Engine is being fitted this week, then i guess its time to learn how to drive fast!

We will need to form a race committee that will happen on the 12th
Classes will be open as it is basic racing again we can sort that out when we have an idea of who wants to race. I hope to even include a cruiser class for the formula`s etc.
If you can pass the word as we need as many people to turn up as possible
We will be showing some old and new powerboat films as well.

If Wily bought a boat it definitely would not be an Argo.
we have been trying to talk him in to racing again but he is standing his ground.

That's more like it

We are hoping that the entry fee will include every thing (Licences insurance function tickets) and will be kept to a reasonable level all depends on Costs from the RYA But they have brought the cost of holding race events down.

Would be delighted to add to the numbers and racing in Guernsey is always special as anyone who has raced there will testify to. Arguments on a postcard please.

Even better when you beat the locals

but beating then at this is a little more tricky
