A few details.
First race, Roy Smith & Scott Hodges stuffed in a big way, with both of them ending up in hospital, Scott apparently has some broken ribs.
Pete Little won 2 litre and Cliff Smith won V24.
Verytricky got DQ'd, but was having engine trouble anyways, so no big deal.
Todays race, Pete Little flipped the Hotboat, smashing his canopy and winding up with lacerations from the splintered canopy, but is basically OK.
Verytricky won V24, and was first home overall! Cool result.

Very sorry to hear that. Hope Roy, Scott, Pete, and (I assume) Gavin are all OK and make a swift mend.

Wondered why you named 4 people and said you hope they're okay when it was only two people that had been involved in the stuff. I hadn't noticed the bit about Pete Little flipping his boat when I posted originally.

Pete Little is racing with long term racing partner Dave Arthur this year - believe both are OK after the incident. Think Pete took the brunt of the screen failing.
Scott hodges is navigating for Roy Smith. They raced together for some years before Scott raced his own boats, a 2 litre Hydrolift and a couple of 1.3 litre boats.

Dave is fine and Pete has some lacerations and bruising but nothing serious. Scott is limping and nursing some bruised ribs. Roy appeared none the worse for his dunking.

Thank you.
It was a loooong, hard, hurtfull slog. Ana was well up for it though, and insisted I passed the other boat. 'Overtake' - a new word in her vocabulary. Everytime we were withing 20 yards of V2.... 'Overtake'....'Overtake'....'Overtake'....'Overtak e'....
Seems so easy from the navigator
We finally got past him at the third last turn.....
