All though you are a fairly recent member to BM you seem to have a fair Knowledge of the sport. Could you please tell me which year Craig Wilson drove a Honda boat, was it the 225 class, and did he do any good?
Thanks.

Thanks for the knowledge comment
Oopps, think i made a mistake about craig wilson it was neil sinclair racing in Honda, James Sheppard won his titles from 2001-2004, in 2001 he won it in the 130hp class.

Ah well! - Great day today though...
Some fantastic side by side testing with 2 other very quick Honda 225 boats. Today was one design in action...!
Great speed. Think we should have a crack at the Coniston record!

Honda Speed Record
The current national speed record for the Honda 225 class is 68.24 mph, set in 2007, and the 150 class record stands at 54.33 mph. The series is not eligible for world records.

John, that is really rubbing salt in Al`s wounds, you bad boy!!
We had a great tussle with the Honda boat and I for one would love to have a few more racing out there with us. Multi class racing is certainly working with OCR, class 3 and V24 all in the same race. It is providing some good entertainment for the spectators as well as a lot of fun for the drivers. Lets get some Honda boats in the mix for even more fun.

Owch John that was a bit harsh on the man! Things always come back and bite though don't they? I have to report that on the flat (saturday) we were pissed all over on top end. We saw 67mph whilst they saw 73mph+. We corner quicker I reckon (no wings). When Sunday's rough arrived (and Scott Williams and Jack Glendening and Champ will tell you I am crap in the rough) we were catching the whole fleet fast in the bigger sea toward New Ground. We overtook Old Beardy when he caught a big bad one but he got me back in the flatter stuff.
So I have to say it was fantastic racing (by the way a joy to be with all these 3C B and the OCR guys and thanks for my trophy and allowing Champ to be 2nd to me for once! Teach them only to race 1 day!)
I wonder if Scott had been there he would have been half a mile in front of me and could perhaps have won??
It does demonstrate that the Honda boys won't be too embarassed but my guess is that if you stick a race Merc on the back they would be formiddable perhaps in both flat and rough with less weight and more grunt.
How heavy is a a class 3C with engine give or take 50 kilos?
