4. I haven't been banned as far as I know. I read another comment here that implied I was but you may formulate your own opinion on that and he did backtrack.

I believe the Four Nations Offshore effort is the best way to channel team and boat owners interests as it has been setup that way and for that very reason - even if it represents the teams if P1 takes the series over as is apparently being suggested.

Personally I reckon if P1 take over the Series they should work closely with the other classes (like Cowes) and make the sport bigger and better.
Tad more then 5mph faster in the flat bud!! just ask archer about testing last year!!

What makes you believe that? Speeds of over 70mph were only ever in the PR and never on the water in reality .......................... I believe!

And considering the 300+KG weight advantage a 3c boat has you have start asking is the hull more impressive than it is given credit.
......... and the Hondas have a 25hp advantage as well!

Look it's a one make series, and so long as they are all the same (ish) why bother trying to compare the boats to other classes?

Completely agree, different boats etc.... Ive always been the one on here that has said it doesn't matter as its a one type class, but i would love to see some of the 3c boys jump in one and see how they did, there's a lot of very experienced crews out there....

honda

i think the honda boats and crews did really well,i for one was having all sorts of problems getting over the swell between hurst and bridge.I personally think if it had been a normal national it would not have run because we would not have had the safety to recover boats in an incident. So i congratulate any crews who got round in boats under 30ft

The fact is the extra length gives the Honda 225 much better handling in rough but in the flatter conditions after (how many laps on day one in Plymouth) I have the film to show we were around 1.5 mins behind.. But in day 2 like in Cowes we were close to the fastest and I did state at the time that I am crap in the rough compared to other Honda guys as I never could balance the boat right. The fact of the matter is that it is much more fun racing together isn't it? Like I said I hope P1 (if they run the new series) will grasp the opportunity.

Hi Mate,

it was announced that P1 are looking into taking over the Honda series next year and if you want I have an invite for us to go and drink champagne at their stand at Soton Boat Show.
